E-invoicing software for the UAE explained, then connected to your system.

The UAE is moving business invoices from PDF to structured data sent through approved providers. We do not sell e-invoicing as a licensed provider. We connect your accounting, ERP or store to the provider you choose.

UAE e-invoicing means invoices are created as structured data and exchanged through an Accredited Service Provider, not emailed as PDF. We are not an ASP. We integrate your system with a provider: automation from AED 3,950, a custom ERP from AED 29,500. Excludes 5% VAT and provider fees.

What UAE e-invoicing actually is

Today most UAE businesses make an invoice in Word, Excel or an accounting tool, save it as PDF and email it. Under the UAE e-invoicing programme, the invoice becomes structured data, a set of fields a computer can read, and it travels through an Accredited Service Provider, or ASP. An ASP is a company approved by the authorities to send and receive these invoices. A PDF alone will no longer count as the invoice.

  • Your system creates the invoice as structured data, with the fields the rules require
  • It is sent to your chosen ASP, which checks it and passes it on
  • The buyer's provider delivers it, and the tax authority can see the data
  • You keep the record, and the PDF becomes a copy for people to read
Rules, formats and dates are set by the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Authority and can change. Confirm with the FTA, the MoF or your accountant. This page is not tax or legal advice.

Dates

When does it apply to you?

Sources disagree on exact dates for smaller companies. What is consistent is that the rollout is phased from 2026 into 2027, with larger taxpayers first, and that invoices must go through an ASP in structured format. Your own date depends on your size and activity. We do not guess it for you.

  • Check your deadline on the FTA and MoF websites, or ask your accountant
  • Do not wait for the last month. Providers and software teams get busy
  • Plan the change as a project: data clean-up, integration, a test run
  • Checked October 2026. Confirm before you buy anything

Readiness checklist

Are you ready? Check these six things

Most delays come from data, not software. If you can tick these, the connection is a small job.

01

Tax numbers

Your TRN is correct on every customer and supplier record, including those you invoice rarely.

02

Clean customer data

Legal names, addresses and emirates are complete and spelled the same way each time.

03

Product and service codes

Each item has a clear name, unit and VAT treatment. No free-text lines for things you sell every week.

04

One place for invoices

Invoices are made in one system, not typed into three. If they are, you have a process problem to fix first.

OpsDesk · Overview
05

Credit notes

You can issue, and link, a credit note to its original invoice. Many small systems cannot.

06

A provider chosen

You have compared ASPs on price, support and whether they offer an API. Ask your accountant who they work with.

Your options

Zoho Books, Odoo or a custom ERP

All three can work. The right one depends on how standard your process is. We are not a Zoho or Odoo partner, so we have no reason to push either.

How we connect it

From PDF invoices to a tested connection

We work with the provider you choose. We never replace them, and we never hold your tax data in a way you cannot export.

  1. Week 1

    Review

We look at how invoices are made today, your customer data and which system should be the source. You get a short written scope and a fixed price.

  2. Week 1 to 2

    Clean the data

TRNs, names, items and VAT codes are checked and fixed. Exceptions come back to you as a list.

  3. Week 2 to 3

    Connect

We integrate your system with your provider's API in a test setting. Fields are mapped one by one.

  4. Week 3 to 4

    Test run

Sample invoices, credit notes and rejections go through. Your accounts team checks every case.

  5. Week 4 on

    Go live and support

A short training session, a handover note and a care plan for fixes when rules or provider formats change.

Who we are not for

When we are the wrong choice.

A fair view, so you do not pay for more than you need.

01

You need an Accredited Service Provider

We are not an ASP. We connect your system to one. You choose and contract the provider.

02

Your accounting tool already handles it

If your current software and provider cover e-invoicing out of the box, you may not need us. Ask them first.

03

Advice on your tax obligations

Dates and scope depend on your business. Confirm them with the FTA, the Ministry of Finance or your accountant.

Questions

Prices are in AED and exclude 5% VAT.

It is a programme where invoices are created as structured data and sent through an Accredited Service Provider, not as a PDF in an email. The rules and dates come from the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Authority. Confirm what applies to you with them or your accountant.

No. We are not an ASP and do not claim to be. We integrate your accounting, ERP or store with the provider you choose, and prepare your invoice data so the connection works.

Sources differ for smaller companies. The rollout is phased from 2026 into 2027 and depends on your size. Check your own deadline on the FTA and MoF sites or with your accountant. This was checked in October 2026, so confirm before you plan.

Integration work starts at AED 3,950 for up to 10 flows, and most projects land between that and AED 12,500. A custom ERP with e-invoicing built in starts at AED 29,500. The provider's own fees are extra.

Often yes. Both may offer UAE e-invoicing support, and it can be the cheapest route. Check the vendor's current plan details. We help when you need to link them to your store, WhatsApp or provider.

PDFs remain useful as a readable copy for customers. Under the programme, the structured data sent through the ASP is what counts as the invoice. Confirm the exact rules with the authority or your accountant.

That depends on the phase and your size, which the authorities set. Do not assume you are exempt. Ask your accountant, and use the checklist above to find out how much work it would be.

No. We build and connect software. For VAT, e-invoicing scope and deadlines, speak to the FTA, the MoF or your accountant. We can work from whatever they confirm.
