Shopify migration in Dubai with your traffic and orders intact.

Changing platforms is risky only when it is improvised. We map the data, protect every URL, rehearse the switch and keep a way back until you are sure. You always know what is moving, what is not, and who signs off each step before the next begins.

Where you are coming from

Every platform leaks differently.

The checklist is similar, the traps are not. This is what we watch for on each source.

01

WooCommerce

Variations, custom fields and plugin-held data. We extract it before the old site changes.

02

Magento

Large catalogues, configurable products and layered navigation URLs that need careful mapping.

03

Wix

Limited export, so products and content are moved with scripts and checked by hand.

04

Salla and local platforms

Arabic content, order history and customer consent need to arrive intact and in the right language.

05

Custom or older builds

We read the database, agree what is worth moving and archive the rest.

What moves

Agree the data scope before touching anything.

We list every data type and decide together whether it moves, is rebuilt or is archived. Products and collections move first. Customers move with marketing consent status recorded. Orders move as history so support and loyalty can reference them. Blog posts, pages and images move with their metadata. Passwords cannot be transferred, so customers receive an account-invite email at launch.

  • Products, variants, images, SKUs and prices
  • Collections, tags and metafields
  • Customers with consent status
  • Historical orders and gift cards where supported
  • Pages, posts and redirects

Protecting search

The redirect map is the project.

Search engines know your old URLs. If they return a 404 after launch, rankings drop. We crawl the live site, list every indexed URL, and map each to its closest Shopify equivalent with a 301 redirect. Titles, descriptions, headings and structured data are carried across, then reviewed against Search Console after launch.

  • Full crawl and export of every live URL
  • One-to-one 301 map with unmatched URLs reviewed by hand
  • Metadata, canonical and schema checks
  • Sitemap resubmitted on launch day
Rankings can fluctuate after any migration. We protect against avoidable loss and cannot promise positions.

Cutover plan

Rehearse first, switch once.

The live switch should be the least interesting day of the project. Each step below has an owner, a checklist and a go or no-go decision, so launch day is a confirmation of work already tested rather than a leap.

  1. Week 1

    Audit and inventory

Crawl, data export, plugin list and a written migration scope.

  2. Weeks 2 to 3

    Build and import on staging

Store design or theme setup, then a first data import for checking.

  3. Weeks 3 to 5

    Test imports and redirects

Repeat the import, compare counts, spot-check products, test redirects and checkout.

  4. Week 5

    Freeze and delta sync

Pause old-store changes briefly, import the latest orders and customers.

  5. Launch day

    DNS switch and watch

Point the domain, run live test orders, monitor errors and crawl for 404s.

  6. After launch

    Rollback window

Old store stays intact and dormant until you confirm everything is healthy.

Risks we plan for

The things that usually go wrong, and what we do about them.

Data risks

  • Duplicate or missing SKUs: counts compared before and after
  • Variant mismatches: sampled across every product type
  • Broken images: re-hosted and checked for alt text
  • Customer consent: status recorded, never assumed

Search risks

  • Lost URLs: full crawl against the redirect map
  • Redirect chains: flattened to one hop
  • Missing metadata: titles and descriptions compared page by page
  • Parameter and filter URLs: reviewed, redirected or left to canonical tags

Business risks

  • Orders placed during the switch: delta import after freeze
  • Payment gateway differences: live test orders on launch day
  • Email and review tools: reconnected before cutover
  • Team confusion: recorded training and a day-one checklist
After launch

The first 30 days decide how the move is judged.

We do not disappear on launch day. For a month we watch Search Console for coverage errors and unexpected 404s, check that top landing pages still resolve, and compare order flow against the previous period so any checkout problem is caught early. If a redirect was missed, we fix it the same day. Your old store stays untouched until you tell us to retire it.

  • Daily crawl for broken links in week one
  • Search Console review at weeks one, two and four
  • Checkout and email flow checks on live orders
  • A clean written handover when the old platform is retired

Who we are not for

When we are the wrong choice.

A fair view, so you do not pay for more than you need.

01

Your current store works and sells

Moving platforms costs time and carries some risk. If the only problem is design, a redesign on your current platform may be cheaper.

02

Very custom features on the old site

Some custom tools have no Shopify equivalent. We tell you at the audit, before you commit.

03

You need it done this week

A careful migration with redirects takes 2 to 6 weeks. Rushing it is how stores lose their search traffic.

Not if the move is done properly. We map every indexed URL with a 301 redirect and carry over metadata and structured data. Temporary fluctuation is normal for any platform change, and we monitor Search Console after launch.

Migration is included in our packages from AED 4,950 for simple stores. Custom theme migrations start at AED 14,500 and enterprise projects at AED 34,500, all excluding 5% VAT.

Simple stores take 3 to 4 weeks. Custom or large catalogues take 6 to 16 weeks depending on data volume, integrations and approvals.

Yes, both are common. We handle variations, custom fields, customers and order history, and agree beforehand what is moved, rebuilt or archived.

Yes. These platforms offer limited exports, so we use scripts and manual checks. Arabic content and consent status are kept intact.

Yes. Passwords cannot be moved between platforms, so customers get an invite email to activate their new account at launch.

Yes. The old store keeps trading while we build on staging. A short change freeze before cutover lets us import the latest orders.

We keep a rollback plan and leave the old store intact until you confirm everything is healthy. DNS can point back if needed.
